My name is Shannon Koehle and this is my story thus far.

In 2004, I graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Since then, I’ve been editing and writing for an ambitious women’s health website, EmpowHER. I was also attending nursing school until my renewed passion for preventive medicine lead me in a new direction.

With a desire to educate how nutrition can impact one’s health, ultimately altering one’s life in either a positive or negative manner, I am now working to become a Registered Dietitian.

My time in nursing school emphasized nutrition as a starting point for good health. What someone consumes can ultimately prevent and even help cure medication conditions, or cause one to develop avoidable medical conditions.

I have always been active and try to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle, but would now like to invigorate others with the same zest for life.

The desire to maintain a healthy weight and exercise should not be a burden, but a realistic opportunity that can ultimately help one to live a long, vibrant life.
